Cloth Diapers

I am in the process of transitioning to cloth diapers. Thanks to my friends Lorrin and Hope I am much more educated than I was several weeks ago. I have actually been interested in cloth diapers since I was pregnant but I was overwhelmed by it. Now I am ready to do it and am proud to say I actually own 5 of my very own beautiful diapers. It is amazing how happy it makes me to pull out my clean fresh diapers from the dryer and stack them up on my changing table. My next endeavor is to try and make my own diapers!

They look great, Shanda! I love them! Mine definitely don't look that pretty. I love the pink flowery one!!

You're right! Seeing how cute the diapers are makes me much more interested in giving it a shot than my mental image of dingy white folded diapers with ouchie pins. You will have to educate me when you come!

My goodness you have been busy. Looks like you had fun on your family trips though. Those are really cute diapers. I hope everything works out great with them. Lorrin and Hope should be very proud

Noel and anyone else who is interested...

Those diapers are All-in-one diapers. Actually the flowered one is an AIO, the purple one is a hybrid AIO, and the white one is a pocket diaper. I think I prefer the pocket and hybrid to the AIO but they are all great. Here is a link that explains them very well. Except the hybrid which is a cross between the pocket and the AIO. The hybrid has a pocket but the soaker is sewn in like an AIO. The advantages are that if you have a heavy wetter then you can put another soaker in and they also dry faster than the AIO because you can turn them inside out for part of the drying process.

hope that helps!

Those are beautiful! I am so jealous I never got to use any of the cute little girl dipes. You can also add a stuffer to the AIO if it isn't absorbing enough. I personally use those for daddys or day care as they are nice and simple and easy. I got some new diapers in recently and I love every new one I try!!! I am currently into the fruit and veggie prints. They are so exciting and fun to use. Crazy I know but I just love them. I hope Alex takes forever to potty train! You might like wigglewormbottoms.com where you can use your own fabric for a diaper at really good prices, with the snap in liner they are like a pocket or AIO.

Way to go on trying something new!!!!!
