Milo's 3 Month Pictures - November 6,2008

These are Milo's 3 month pictures. They were actually taken the day before he turned 3 months. At 3 months Milo was rolling both ways and spending a lot of time on his tummy. The photographer was surprised that he wanted to roll out of the basket that she liked to use for 3month old babies so she had to change her plan and put him on the floor. He is such a sweet boy!

Halloween 08

We celebrated Halloween two nights. The first night was on Halloween at Grandma & Grandpa Hickman's house. Talia went Trick or Treating in their neighborhood with her cute cousins Alyson and Brooklyn. It was just the right amount of houses for our 1 & 2 year olds. I was surprised how quickly Talia caught on to the Trick or Treating. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures on my camera but I will have to steal some from Grandma. Milo dressed up as a Jack O'Lantern.
The next Halloween celebration was actually on November 1st. Preston and I had our friends the Hinksons over. Hallie and Talia enjoyed dressing up one more time. And Cinderella and the Unicorn (aka FORSE!!! as Talia would say) had a lot of fun. What sweet friends! Hallie was so cute and kept saying, in a sweet enthusiastic voice, "HI friends!" She also seems to love Preston.

I have to say we have gotten lots of use out of the Unicorn costume. I think Talia pulls it out at least once a week. One night she thought it would be a good idea to go to bed in her costume. Mommy thought different. :)

Rapid City Reprieve

(Late October 2008) After Bear Country we were pretty tired and I knew the kids didn't want to go back to the Hotel so Preston's cousin Heather was kind enough to take us in. She made a delicious dinner and let the kids trash her house. Talk about hospitality! Preston joined us just in time for dinner. Here is Gavin with Mackguire. We didn't get a picture of Creed who is a cutie and followed Talia around making sure that she was having fun but more importantly following the rules. I think we all lost it at the end of dinner when the adults were sitting around the table talking and Creed comes in the kitchen with his lightsaber dripping wet saying "she put this in the toilet!" Followed shortly by a very wet little girl. she have even dipped her head in the water! I was consoled by the fact that the toilet was flushed and cleaned earlier that morning.

Here are the youngest two Callan and Milo. Milo is actually older if you can't tell by the picture. Milo is going on 3 months and Callan was almost 1 month.

and here are the moms...Heather and Me. Thanks Heather for letting us invade your home. I was so amazed at how clean the house was after just having a baby!

Bear Country USA

(Late October 2008) While Preston was working I decided to brave an outing with the 3 kids. Bear Country was right up my ally because it is basically a drive through zoo. I only had to get out at the end to look at the baby animals.
This first couple of pictures is for Preston and his Brothers who went hunting Elk with no luck. I told Preston I would "shoot" and elk for him if I saw one. And what did I see right as I drove through the gates??? This Beauty. I could have rolled down my window and touched him (if it wern't against the rules).

Reindeer

Wolf

Big Horn Sheep

I forget what kind of sheep

bears

Buffalo

Donkey. I wonder where Shrek is.

Badgers - my High School mascot

and here we are at the end where we got to walk around and look at the baby animals. My favorite were the baby bears. They were wresteling, swiming and climing trees! It was so fun!

Gavin did a really good job helping out since Milo was in the sling and Talia kept climbing out of the stroller.

Mount Rushmore

In Late October 2008 all three kids and I tagged along with Preston on a Business trip to Rapid City South Dakota. He made some time to take us to Mount Rushmore. It was a first for everyone except Preston. Gavin had fun looking at all the state flags and learning more about how Mount Rushmore was built and learning facts about each person on Mount Rushmore. He brought a camera and took lots of pictures to show everyone in Alamosa.
Talia was most interested in the random goats that were on the grounds. I don't think they were very interested in her though.

Gavin is getting a better view...

Here is our little family...

Talia gave her Dad a run for his money...LITERALLY...(we almost bought a silly little bell from the gift shop because Talia broke it but they were nice and told us that we didn't need to pay for the bell.) This is one of the few times that she wasn't in motion so we had to document it.

Gavin is blowing up the mountain.

Here I am with my sweet little MILO.

Gavin was a big help in keeping track of his speedy little sister.

So the pictures are backwards but this is us on the way in and Talia was ready to go after spending about 7 hours in the car.
