Backpack!

Despite the fact that Talia has never had one or really seen me use one she loves backpacks! It all started with the school episode of signing time. Her favorite signs from that episode are backpack, scissors and school. I didn't even know that she knew what one was until she saw a picture and got so excited signing backpack and saying "bah-pah !" So my amazing mom decided that she needed a back pack of her very own and in an amazingly short amount of time whipped up this little beauty. When she first saw it she knew exactly what it was and tried to put it on. I showed her how to fill it and Talia proceeded to walk around the house gathering her pacifiers, which happen to be her most prized possession, and asked me to put them in the pocket.
Talia also went to my mom, who she calls "Ta" or "Ma" and signs grandma, and signed "thank you! Backpack!" over and over. It was the first thing she asked for the next morning. I think she likes it. :)
