Pregnancy Progress 1/24/07

Here are a couple of belly shots in Jamaica. I am 33 weeks.

The Pool...

Dunns River Falls is a big tourist attraction that is located not too far from the resort. This was the resorts imitation of the falls.
Here I am smiling but I was about to pass out because I was really over heated so I put my feet in the cool unheated pool and got a virgin pina colada. Ahhh that is much better.

Since I am big and pregnant this is the most action Preston and I saw. It was fun but we didn't see too much.
No I am not going to throw up...I am just looking at the fishies.

Just Hanging out

This was our morning ritual...after breakfast we would usually find one of the quiet hammocks and read and nap. It was great!

Shopping...

On Friday the resort brought in a few very skilled and nice vendors. They weren't allowed to yell at us and they had to make what they sold. There was some really neat stuff...beautiful wood carvings, dresses, leather sandals, jewelry, baskets and much more. This woman made the most beautiful baskets and purses. I was asking how she made them so she decided to make me a bracelet to show me how. She was really nice. We ended up buying a three tier fruit basket from her.

I am pretty sure this is the night I was being eaten alive by the mosquitos. Preston didn't get any mosquito bites and I had a plethora of them on my legs. Maybe they just thought I was cuter. :)

Sibling Love (Dec 2006)

More of the blizzard

What a good husband I have!!! We had to stop because the windshield wipers weren't working any more due to the large accumulation of ice on the blades. We were listening to the radio as we were leaving and learned that we escaped just in time...they had begun closing surface streets. Crazy! For a girl who grew up in Arizona I have to admit I never thought the banks and post office shut down!

What a beautiful sight a clear clean road is after driving in a blizzard! I knew we would actually make it to my parents house for Christmas in one piece! YEA!

The BLIZZARD of 2006...

At least that is what they were calling it until Colorado got another blizzard right after Christmas. So I had to document our lovely driving conditions because it was better to take pictures and laugh than freak out and go into labor. :) I made it a point not to call Mom until we were out of the snow so that if she asked I could say with a clear conscious that the roads were great.


I love how all the snow plows are even pulling off the road yet we journeyed on. I think Preston was more afraid of facing his hormonal pregnant wife if we were stuck in Colorado for Christmas than the scary road conditions.

So if you didn't know or can't tell, we are having a girl. This was the extent of my wardrobe when I took this picture in December. Can she wear dresses every day????
